The Board of EQAA is the main decision making body of the agency. It takes the decisions about accreditations in order to ensure coherence and consistency of decisions. The members of the Board are highly acclaimed international experts in higher education and quality assurance.

Katia Dolgova-Dreyer
Katia Dolgova-Dreyer is the Head of Unit for Regional and Bilateral Co-operation in CIS and Central Asia, within the Education Department at the Council of Europe. Previously she served as the Secretary to the Steering Committee for Higher Education and Research at the Council of Europe.
Since 1997 Katia has been working in the Council of Europe, where she joined Department of Education in 2006. She was a Secretary of the Steering Committee for Higher Education and Research from 2006 through 2011. Since 2011 Katia has been focusing on regional and bilateral co-operation in the field of education, including negotiating and running Joint Programmes with the European Union.
Prior to the employment in the Council of Europe in 1997, she has been working for the European Union Tacis/Tempus technical assistance and co-operation programme for the Russian Federation, in charge of the Russian Tempus Information Point in Moscow.
